Team Spotlight: Jade Watson Swann

Having built her career across several customer-focused industries in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Jade understands what it takes to provide a well-organised and responsive service. Since joining Wilson Wells in 2026, she has supported the firm’s attorneys, coordinated internal processes and helped maintain the standards expected by its clients.

Growing up with a father who worked as a lawyer gave Jade an early insight into the profession, and she often imagined herself pursuing a career in law. When the time came to consider a change of direction, joining a law firm felt like a natural opportunity to challenge herself in an area she had long been drawn to.

The intensity of legal practice has been one of the biggest surprises. Jade quickly discovered just how many hours of work can go into completing matters properly and on time, although, as she puts it, there are ‘no complaints here’!

Operations, organisation and client service

Jade’s role covers many aspects of the firm’s daily administration. From managing office systems and coordinating communications to overseeing logistics, document management and internal workflows, she helps ensure that the attorneys have the support they need to keep matters moving.

What Jade enjoys most about the position is its variety. Rather than being confined to one particular task or area of responsibility, she works across a broad range of matters. The variety keeps her challenged and allows her to continue building her knowledge within the firm, which she finds particularly rewarding.

Her background in administration and management has instilled a strong belief in diligence, reliability and hard work. She also recognises that a successful office depends on more than systems and processes. Teamwork and a healthy working environment are equally important, and Jade aims to bring a positive attitude to the office while supporting morale across the wider team.

For Jade, preparation is central to excellent service. Like a well-oiled engine, the work taking place behind the scenes keeps the wheels turning smoothly, while effective teamwork helps ensure that clients receive a coordinated and responsive service.

A background built around people

Before joining Wilson Wells, Jade worked across the hospitality, property, and wellness sectors in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Her previous roles have included senior property management, luxury hospitality and business management, bringing her into contact with private clients, commercial organisations and high-end service providers.

This varied background has directly influenced the way she approaches her current role. Hospitality and property management both require responsiveness, careful organisation and the ability to anticipate the needs of others. These are qualities Jade now brings to her work at the firm.

Professional development

Jade has broadened her professional knowledge through studies in business administration, hospitality and tourism management, property management, administrative support and food and beverage management. She continues to look for opportunities to strengthen internal systems, support her colleagues and contribute more widely to the firm.

As her career at Wilson Wells develops, Jade hopes to build lasting relationships with her team and move into an increasingly client-focused role. She is also keen to grow as a manager, with the longer-term ambition of progressing into a more senior position.

Outside the office

One of the greatest benefits of living and working in the Turks and Caicos Islands for Jade is the comfort of being at home. The familiar surroundings and pace of island life allow her to maintain a healthy balance between her professional responsibilities and her personal time without feeling overwhelmed.

Away from the office, Jade enjoys settling down with a good book and exploring new restaurants. A self-proclaimed connoisseur, she is always keen to discover somewhere new and experience the variety of food and hospitality available across the Islands.
